I am drawing caricatures on many different events and doing it mainly with pencils although I like the look of good caricatures done with markers. I tried a lot of different markers, that are available in Germany, but none of them were really what I was looking for. Some were good for normal sketching but not good enough for fast caricatures. I liked to use brush pens, but the tips were not "tough" enough for me and my job. I used well known brands as well as no name markers..
I read that...

Had a nice encounter yesterday with one of the most legendary
comedians in Belgian history.
I was really honoured to meet no one less
than Gaston Berghmans.
A living legend ( in my country) for his talent, but also (now having
met him) for being one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure to
encounter. (pity one of the pics is not clear.i have more of him, but no more of me with him together.)
There is something planned, but........................ More will follow...

Mexico City. Some people want to go out (like me) and some people want to come in. There is a guy from Congo, Africa, who saw the Jacques Costeau movies when he was a child and he got in love with the images of the Caribean Sea. When he grew up he decided to travel to Cuba to be near the Caribean, when in Cuba, some people told him that if he wanted to be nearer the Caribean he should travel to Cancún,México. Then he traveled to Cancún and he fell in love...

Greetings to all my coleagues here in Wittygraphy!

As I told you in my previous blog, I worked on caricatures of medieval artists last year. I`ve been traveling sometimes more than 1000 kilometers a day to get an idea of what the bands and acrobats are doing..and today I am holding the finished product in my hands..I can`t tell you how happy I am..As an example for the foto competition I started, I took a picture of my son with the calendar.
This year I will even travel more but will draw and paint in fantasy style

What happens, when a caricaturist combines his hobbies of caricatures and medieval markets? In my case, the result is a calendar for 2010 with 13 bands and acrobats of the german medieval scene. I drove thousands of kilometers through Germany to visit MPS medieval festivals in different places with different people and different artists to get inspired for fantasyart paintings. But I could not keep me from drawing caricatures..as the manager of the festival saw me drawing in front of the...

Caricature works wonders at skewering puffed-up demigods, moguls and celebrities by ripping off their false facades. For artists it is both a vent for frustration and a tool of dissent, but being good at it is never easy. Just getting a good likeness is hard enough; making it into a truly smart distortion takes a master manipulator. Read more ...

A rare volume of explicit Gillray cartoons, which sexually lampooned 18th-century establishment figures and were seized by a Victorian vice squad, has been handed to the Victoria & Albert museum after lying undiscovered in Home Office archives for more than a century. Read more ...

David
Levine, whose macro-headed, somberly expressive, astringently probing
and hardly ever flattering caricatures of intellectuals and athletes,
politicians and potentates were the visual trademark of The New York
Review of Books for nearly half a century, died Tuesday in Manhattan.
He was 83 and lived in Brooklyn. Read more ...

Have you tried the all new version of ArtRage 3 Studio Pro?
It is great, here's a look in my Gallery of things I have done with it.
I am very proud of the fact that I have been in the develloping proces from the start. So I was able to help a few items getting in the program.
The first pictures in the gallery are pre-release pictures. Most but not all of them are finalised.
I am planning to keep posting the ArtRage works over there. Have a look !
